The PSB is not a separate curriculum and it is not an additional assessment. It is a focus on the core skills of thinking and learning, independence, collaboration, leadership, reviewing and improving, and communicating. These are character skills and it is never too early to start to teach these to children. Even from an early age our children are introduced to the language and encouraged to reflect on their achievements in these areas.
As part of the PSB children in Years 7 and 8 will produce a Cross-Curricular Project once in each year. These link the humanity subjects together in a written project which builds over the course of a half term (roughly six weeks). Working with a personal tutor the children interrogate a question and produce a document with Contents Page, Bibliography and appropriate referencing to address their points. The end results are stunning and demonstrate a journey of learning in excess of expectations for their years.
