Malvern College is a thriving co-educational boarding and day school set on a beautiful 260 acre campus in the heart of Worcestershire. The College has an excellent reputation for pastoral care and pupils leave the school as confident, mature young men and women. Pastoral care is based on the family units of boarding and day houses with pupils taking all their meals in their house. Pupils benefit tremendously from an excellent tutor-mentor system. Malvern College maintains its traditional values but is innovative and forward looking. With excellent pastoral care it respects and nurtures a child's individuality in a friendly, safe, rural environment. Pupils are encouraged to be realistic, flexible and open to new views. They are taught to have respect for others and behave well. In a recent Independent Schools Inspection Report the inspector noted that “Relationships among pupils and between them and the hard-working staff are excellent.” The pursuit of excellence in academic study lies unashamedly at the heart of Malvern Life. Academic standards are high with exceptionally good examination successes. The school is ranked in the top 50 in Britain in The Times 2006 academic league tables and offers a choice between the International Baccalaureate and A levels in the Sixth Form. Malvern is served by a main line railway and there is easy access to the M5 and M4 motorways. The school is very well equipped with an outstanding Technology Centre, inspiring Arts Centre, Concert Hall, Music School, Theatre, Indoor Swimming Pool, Sports Hall and all weather playing surface. It has 570 pupils aged between 13 and 18 years. At Malvern College you will find boys and girls living in a happy and vibrant community. It is a first class school providing an education that enables pupils to fulfil their potential in a caring environment. A visit to the school provides an appreciation of its unique ethos.
