Gordonstoun offers a formative experience for life through a broad, integrated curriculum. Academic study for GCSE and A-level examinations is combined with sporting, creative and outdoor education, including the school’s unique sail training programme. All this aims to make the students encompass the school motto, “Plus est en Vous”.

Gordonstoun’s emphasis on holistic development prepares students to make a positive contribution to society in the new century. This is achieved through its distinctive ethos based on internationalism, challenge, responsibility and community service.

On entry pupils study a range of subjects through a broad foundation course, followed by a two-year course for GCSE examinations. Sixth Formers prepare four subjects to AS level and continue with three to A2. Information Technology is used throughout the curriculum utilising a campus wide IT network.

Drama, Music and Dance performers regularly represent the school at home and abroad. This summer drama groups travelled to London and Edinburgh to perform in prestigious international drama festivals.

Excellent facilities on campus, ‘Ocean Spirit of Moray’ operating from Kyle of Lochalsh, combined with high quality pastoral care, make Gordonstoun a world leader in secondary education.
