· Read again the story of Cain and Abel in Genesis chapter 4 v 1-16 which is on pages 6/7 of your Bible.
· Then tackle the following question:
How many different things do we learn about God from the story of Cain and Abel? Make sure you use evidence from the story to support your opinions.
Advice
· As discussed in this week’s lesson we can learn several things about God’s character from this important story. Your job in this piece of homework is to use evidence form the story to support your opinion
· Here’s an example to start you off:
‘This story tells us that God is a very loving and forgiving God’ [your opinion]. Even after Cain has murdered Abel God puts a protective mark on him to prevent anyone from harming him in the future’. [Evidence from the text]
· Now try and add as many other examples as you can and don’t forget to use evidence from the story to back up your ideas.
Please make sure you hand in your RS books on Thursday morning.
