Year 7 studied Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories. Freddie Dyke would like to share the start of his short story, ‘The Locked Room’, inspired by ‘The Speckled Band.’

Year 7 looked at poems where it is not at first obvious which creature the poet is describing. Bradley Mullis, Alexander Fisher, Matthew Hobson and William Morris hope you enjoy their work.

Year 8 have been looking at the theme of ‘Heroes,’ in their English classes. Having studied poetry form the First World War, RCSheriff’s Journey’s End, and then visiting the Imperial War Museum and Britain at War, James Johnson, Jamie Mathieson and Matthew Comber designed revision grids to present themes and quotations relating to WW1.
