Learning new skills
Children love to learn new skills
We want every child to leave Yateley Manor as a well-rounded individual, confident yet empathetic, with a broad range of interests and a sound knowledge and genuine desire to learn.
We know children love to learn new skills and eagerly embrace new ideas. Children are encouraged to step bravely into unfamiliar territory and make the most of the opportunities afforded them at Yateley Manor.
A voyage of discovery
The range of intellectually stimulating Options and Clubs available is diverse. For instance Chess is highly popular, with a national reputation and tuition from an international master available to pupils of all abilities and ages. Debating builds confidence and stretches even the most articulate and able children. Clubs and activities available include Dance, Master Chef, Photography and Art, Green Fingers and many others.
An appreciation of the world at large
At Yateley Manor we offer your child the opportunity to experience life beyond the school grounds, be it a fieldwork trip to explore the Isle of Purbeck, a visit to discover the mechanics of our parliament in Whitehall, a residential trip to Normandy where Year 7 pupils are immersed in a foreign language, inspirational trips to London galleries and museums, sports tour to South Africa or choir tour to Paris.
Each year the School Council, which includes children from Years 3 to 8, select a charity to support; one that helps local children of a similar age and often their families. Appeals and activities raise awareness and valuable funds in equal measure.
