Luckley-Oakfield School
Luckley-Oakfield provides a welcoming and comfortable setting for studies, recreation and friendships. We pride ourselves on excellent GCSE and A Level results and outstanding value added results recognised nationally. All areas of the curriculum are well supported and girls achieve notable success in art, drama, music and sport.
Flexibility of boarding and extended day activities help to tailor each girl’s school day to her parents’ lifestyle. Dormitories combine the fun of community living with appropriate privacy. Our sixth form pupils enjoy purpose-built study and living accommodation. For day girls, transport is available from Maidenhead, Windlesham, Ascot, Camberley and Hartley-Wintney areas. Buses return each evening at 4 pm and 5.30 pm.
Situated in wooded surroundings on the outskirts of Wokingham, the school provides good sports facilities. Concerts and drama productions are staged regularly. A fully equipped Information and Communication Technology centre is available to all girls.
The main intake is at Year 7 although, assuming there are places available, a few girls may join us at Year 8 or 9. Entrance is by examination in the January prior to the year of entry and includes tests in Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning as well as interviews. We also place great importance on reports received from the candidate’s current school.
Pupils are steered towards self-reliance and independence with a representative voice in the running of their community. They are backed by a high standard of pastoral care which has long been synonymous with the name of the School. These values are encompassed within the Christian principles upon which life at Luckley is based.
