Victor Hugo, the French novelist responsible for writing the manuscript that became Les Miserables, once said, “Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent.” At Yateley Manor music plays an important role in the curriculum, with every child receiving music lessons each week. Our aim is to encourage every child to be musically literate and this is achieved through regular attention to notation and composition. Our state-of-the-art Music Technology Suite provides breadth to the curriculum and allows children to experiment with music in digital form.

Performance and presentation to a range of audiences is a priority at the school and takes the form of many opportunities including music. Regular recitals and concerts are held throughout the year and families are always invited to attend.
